This is true because everyone in this room is not generally intelligent like AI, but uniquely intelligent, and that intelligence has been developed through experiences, like eating extremely delicious cinnamon rolls.

Personally, I find unique intelligences far more fascinating than general intelligence, no matter how intelligent that general intelligence may be. I also believe that the best route forward in an uncertain world such as the one we live in – and have always lived in to tell the truth - is to develop the capacities that allow you to stand out from the crowd as that unique intelligence, and the only way to do that is to learn stuff.

School, particularly college, should be a good place to learn stuff, but I am not so naïve to believe that learning is always central to the work we do in school. For sure, society in general an colleges in specific could to a better job of aligning the work of school with learning, but in the end, no matter the conditions, the responsibility for learning comes down to the individual learner, the possessor and developer of that unique intelligence.
